Manjul Bhushan is sole proprieter of OctEval and a founder member of AvianActs, an independent enterprise exploring non-intrusive scientific methods for study of wildlife, primarily birds. She provided consulting services in silicon and superconducting technologies through her company OctEval from 2012 through 2020. Prior to that she acquired over 33 years of experience in basic and applied research after earning her PhD in physics at Clemson University. From 1979 to 1997 she worked in the areas of compound semiconductor thin-film photovoltaic cells (Institute of Energy Conversion at the University of Delaware), and fabrication technology for superconducting devices used in magnetic, microwave and digital circuit applications (Unisys, MIT Lincoln Laboratory and SUNY, Stony Brook.)

At IBM from 1997 to 2012, she initially focused on compact model evaluation and CMOS circuit performance characterization in bulk silicon and SOI technologies. Later she worked on circuit design tool evaluation, and on test and characterization of microprocessor chips at wafer, module and system levels for IBM's high-end servers. After leaving IBM, she consulted at IBM, Microsoft, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Spin Transfer Technology and Hypres.

Dr. Bhushan is a Senior Member of the IEEE, has over 80 publications, and has 28 US patents. She is co-author of Microelectronic Test Structures for CMOS Technology and CMOS Test and Evaluation: A Physical Perspective, published by Springer in 2011 and 2014 respectively.
